DINOSAUR XP & LEVELS
Each dinosaur levels up to level 100 using its own XP pool. XP comes from battles and harvesting.
Species? modifier makes weak utility species level faster and apex species level slower. Examples: Psittacosaurus 0.6, Pteranodon 0.9, Utahraptor 1.0, Triceratops 1.15, Tyrannosaurus 1.5, and so on per species.
DINO STAT GAINS PER LEVEL
On level-up each stat grows by a base amount scaled by the species' emphasis:
| Stat | Base gain / level |
|---|---|
| VIG (health) | 10 |
| Attack | 2 |
| Defense | 1 |
| Speed | 1 |
Species scaling emphasises different stats — e.g. Tyrannosaurus attack ×2.0, Ankylosaurus defense ×1.8, Dimorphodon speed ×1.5.
DINO STAT UPGRADES (TRAINING)
You can also spend your own XP to add +1 to one dino stat. Cost grows the more points are already in that stat, and each upgrade also grants the dinosaur +1 level.
| Points already in stat | XP cost |
|---|---|
| 0 – 9 | 50 × (points + 1) |
| 10 – 24 | 100 × (points + 1) |
| 25+ | 200 × (points + 1) |
YOUR SURVIVOR
The survivor's level is 1 + the number of skill ranks purchased. XP earned in the world is spent directly on those ranks, and each rank also grants +1 stat point to place into VIG, ATK, DEF or SPD.
