Expeditions
An expedition is a shared fight: 2–4 players band together with their dinosaur parties to take down one enemy group for better loot.
FORMING AN EXPEDITION
- Up to 4 members. Invite players; members are ordered by join time, leader first.
- State flows forming → confirming → departed, and expires after 24 hours.
- Every member brings their survivor plus their active dinosaur party? ; everyone fights the same enemy party.
COMBAT
- Turn timer is 10 seconds; players who do not act are auto-controlled. Loot selection gives 20 seconds.
- Actions: Attack, species? abilities? (unlocked by level), use consumable, and Flee.
- Fleeing requires every living member to vote Flee on the same turn, or the action is wasted.
- Defeat = every member's party is down. Victory = the enemy party reaches 0 HP.
- Status effects? like bleed, poison and burn deal % max-HP damage each turn and tick down.
Enemy parties scale with the number of members:
| Members | Extra enemies | Enemy stat × | Enemy actions/turn | Loot × |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | ×1.00 | 1 | ×1.00 |
| 2 | 1 | ×1.10 | 2 | ×1.25 |
| 3 | 2 | ×1.20 | 3 | ×1.50 |
| 4 | 3 | ×1.30 | 4 | ×1.75 |
Enemies are drawn from the target location's spawn table, scaled to a random level in range, with random wild traits? (rarity: common 80%, uncommon 15%, rare 3%, epic 1.5%, legendary 0.5%).
LOOT & XP
- On victory, each member independently rolls loot from every defeated enemy; quantities scale with the loot multiplier. Eggs can drop.
- XP per member = (sum of enemy levels × 10) × loot multiplier.
- A shared loot-card pool is offered; each member picks one card from any member's pool, and the same card may be picked more than once.
- Fleeing gives no loot and no XP.
