Harvesting
Gathering is turn-based. Clicking a resource node starts a short encounter just like a fight, except the node does not strike back. You choose one action per turn and grind the node's HP down to zero.
RULES OF A HARVEST
- Tools? are mandatory. Every resource node requires its matching tool, so keep the right ones equipped.
- Your party? gathers with you. Dinosaurs gather only if the species? is configured for that resource and has unlocked its gather move.
- Order: your dinosaurs act first in the usual order; the survivor always goes last.
- End condition: reach 0 node HP for a full harvest (node is removed), or hit the turn limit for a partial harvest (node stays).
- The log is a preview. The real amount is calculated from your total damage dealt when the encounter ends.
HOW THE YIELD IS CALCULATED
base = floor( totalDamageDealt x 2.0 )
x average gather multiplier of every hit used
+ additive party passives
x 2 if a double-yield roll procs
x (1 + node + harvest + salvage + research bonuses)
final = whole number
Average multiplier matters. Mixing a weak tool with a strong dinosaur dilutes the result — use your best gatherer consistently.
You also gain XP = floor(totalDamageDealt × 5), plus Mentor and familiarity? bonuses.
