TRIP LOADOUT & UTILITY BELT
Before leaving camp you set a trip loadout so the field knows what you are bringing.
- 4 field tool slots — one tool each for Pick, Hatchet, Sickle and Fishing Rod. The tool stays in camp; the game reads the slot when you harvest.
- 5 utility belt slots — one consumable or lockpick per slot, filled from camp at departure and returned when you get back.
Free to carry. Equipped gear and loadout items never count against trip-bag capacity.
TRIP-BAG CAPACITY
Carrying uses slots. Capacity is only enforced while you are out on a trip; at camp your bag is unlimited.
max slots = 20 (base)
+ sum over party? of ceil( carry_weight / 10 )
+ carry-slot research bonuses
- Stackable items cost
ceil(quantity / stack_size)slots. - Non-stackable items cost one slot each.
- Equipped gear is free; camp storage is unlimited.
Overflow. If a harvest would exceed your slots, the excess is sent to camp storage and you are flagged overflowed, forcing a return to camp.
PARTY CARRY WEIGHT
Every party dinosaur adds one slot per 10 carry weight (rounded up). A bigger, heavier party carries more home.
